How do I?

Register as a patient

Patients are required to register with a specific GP. This is so we can offer a familiar service to all when possible. You may register with the surgery if you live within a three miles radius of the surgery. To register either drop into the surgery or call our main surgery line and use option three.

Make an appointment

Non urgent appointments can be booked by calling our Frontline Team on 0117 9805700. If you require an urgent appointment the receptionist will arrange this for you, however it may not always be with your chosen doctor. You can also fill in an eConsult, this will be triaged by our clinical team and advice or an appointment will be offered.

Repeat prescriptions

Please use the request slip from your previous prescription. If you wish you may send a stamped addressed envelope. Please allow two working days to process including consultant outpatient prescriptions NHS or privately.

On occasion, you may find that you urgently need a prescription to be processed faster than the standard 72 hours procedure allows. Please note that we will only process such urgent requests for the following medication types:

  • Strong Analgesics, e.g. Oxycodone, Buprenorphine Patches (i.e. not over-the-counter medications)
  • Antiepileptics
  • Beta-blockers
  • Inhalers
  • Insulin
  • Methotrexate
  • Oral Steroids

You can also order a repeat prescription online through either Evegreen Life or Patient Access:

Evergreen

Within the medication list, you can see which medications you’re able to order online and whether that request was accepted or rejected by the practice. Tick the medications you want to order. If you want to, you can add a comment, something like: “I need more as I’m going on holiday” or “I want to pick this up from X pharmacist.” Then, click on the box marked “Request a repeat prescription.”
