We host morning and afternoon surgeries from Monday to Friday each week with a range of clinicians from GPs to nurses. Typically these start from 9.00 and run until 18.00 with a standard pause afternoon to allow GPs to action home visits and medical requests.
On Monday evenings we hold a commuter/working person’s surgery from 18.30 to 19.30.
Friday afternoon/evenings are for emergencies only and will be covered by the duty doctor.
Out of Hours
The telephone number to contact out of hours is 111 between 18.30 and 8.00 Monday to Thursday. Weekend cover runs from Friday evening at 18.30 to 8.00 on Monday morning.
Ringing the above number will connect you to Brisdoc, which is largely made up of local GPs/nurses who may offer you telephone advice or invite you to attend a local out of hours appointment.
In circumstances that are not considered serious, you may opt to attend the Yate Minor Injuries Unit.
If you merely need telephone advice about a medical issue ring 111 who can direct you to the most appropriate local service that can help you best.
Please only visit an Accident And Emergency Department where this response is appropriate. Many people still turn up at their local A&E seeking treatment for minor illnesses, so please think carefully before using this expensive resource.
In cases of life-threatening illness, dial 999.
