NHS Health Checks

What is an NHS Health Check?

Cadbury Heath Healthcare provides NHS Health Checks to patients aged between 40 and 74. It’s an assessment that is designed to spot the early signs of stroke, kidney disease, type 2 diabetes, dementia, and heart disease – so that we can act to lower your risk of developing these conditions.

How do I get an NHS Health Check?

If you’re in the 40-74 age group without a pre-existing condition, you can expect to receive a letter from us inviting you for a free NHS Health Check every five years.

You may decline to take part in the NHS Health Check, though we strongly advise that you take the time to use the service as it may help you improve your quality of life as you grow older.

How can I improve my test results?

Once you’ve had your NHS Health Check, our nurse will┬ádiscuss your results with you. You’ll be given advice to help you lower your risk of a stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes or dementia, and maintain or improve your health.
